Frequently Asked Questions About FBA Prep Center Canada
What is an Amazon FBA Prep Center?
An Amazon FBA Prep Center is a third-party service that receives, inspects, labels, packages, and ships products to Amazon's fulfillment centers on behalf of Amazon sellers. This ensures all inventory meets Amazon's strict preparation and labeling requirements — preventing rejected shipments, penalty fees, and potential account suspensions. Canada FBA Prep is a full-service FBA prep center located in Toronto, Ontario.
How much does Amazon FBA prep cost at Canada FBA Prep?
Our base prep rates start at $1.20 CAD per unit for volumes under 500 units/month and decrease to $0.60 CAD per unit for high-volume sellers processing 7,500+ units/month. This includes FNSKU labeling, quality inspection, standard packaging, and carton receiving. Add-on services like polybagging ($0.20/unit), bundling ($0.60/unit), and bubble wrapping ($0.40/sq ft) are priced separately. We offer automatic volume discounts with no long-term contracts.
How fast is your FBA prep turnaround time?
Our standard turnaround is 24 hours for shipments under 500 units. Larger shipments of 500–2,500 units typically take 2–3 business days. Shipments over 2,500 units may take 3–5 business days. Rush same-day processing is available for an additional 50% fee, subject to capacity.
Can you receive shipments from international suppliers?
Yes. Many of our clients ship directly from overseas manufacturers (China, India, etc.) to our Toronto warehouse. We handle full container destuffing (20ft at $350 and 40ft at $675), pallet receiving for LTL freight, and can coordinate with customs brokers as needed. Our GTA location is ideal for receiving international shipments through Canadian ports.
Do I need to sign a long-term contract?
No. Canada FBA Prep operates on a flexible month-to-month basis with a $500 CAD minimum monthly spend. There are no long-term contracts, no lock-in periods, and no cancellation fees. You can scale up or down as your Amazon business needs change.
What types of Amazon sellers do you work with?
We serve all types of Amazon sellers including wholesale sellers, private label brands, online arbitrage (OA) sellers, and retail arbitrage (RA) sellers. Whether you're processing 100 units or 10,000+ units per month, our services and pricing tiers scale to fit your business. We also work with international sellers who need a Canadian prep center.
Do you create FBA shipment plans in Seller Central?
Yes, we offer full shipment coordination. With delegated access to your Seller Central account, we create FBA shipment plans, enter box content information, generate shipping labels, and coordinate carriers to deliver your prepped inventory to Amazon's fulfillment centers. Alternatively, you can create plans yourself and simply provide us with the shipping labels.
What happens if my products arrive damaged?
We photograph and document any damage upon receiving and notify you immediately. You decide whether to proceed with prep on the undamaged units, return the items, or dispose of them. We never prep visibly damaged items without your explicit approval. Our thorough inspection process catches issues before they reach Amazon.
Where is Canada FBA Prep located?
Canada FBA Prep is located in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Ontario, Canada. Our warehouse is strategically positioned minutes from Amazon's Canadian fulfillment centers (YYZ4, YYZ9), enabling 1-2 day delivery of prepped inventory to Amazon. We serve sellers in Toronto, Brampton, Mississauga, Vaughan, Markham, and across Canada.
Is Canada FBA Prep insured?
Yes, Canada FBA Prep operates a fully insured and bonded facility. Our insurance covers inventory stored and processed at our Toronto warehouse, giving Amazon sellers peace of mind that their products are protected.
Can Canada FBA Prep handle hazmat products?
Yes. We offer hazmat labeling and documentation services at $5.00 per SKU. We ensure all hazardous materials are properly classified, labeled, and documented according to Amazon's hazmat requirements and Canadian transportation regulations.
What is the difference between FNSKU and ASIN labels?
An FNSKU (Fulfillment Network Stock Keeping Unit) is Amazon's unique barcode assigned to each seller's product. Unlike an ASIN (Amazon Standard Identification Number) which is shared across sellers, an FNSKU is specific to your seller account. Amazon requires FNSKU labels on all FBA inventory to track and attribute sales correctly. Canada FBA Prep handles all FNSKU label printing and application.
